Have you ever come across an Italian Parish record and were frustrated because you couldn’t tell who was doing what? Or perhaps the record you want to find doesn’t exist in civil records? Then this class may be just what you need. We will be exploring the tools needed to both find and read Italian Parish records. To get the most out of this class, please come with your user name and password for FamilySearch if possible.

Alice DiMaggio married into an Italian family many years ago. She found herself inspired by her father in law to research their Italian line. Consequently she fell in love with the Italian people, their history and research. In recent years, she served as a full-time Missionary at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City for a year and a half (2019-2020) where she received more extensive training in Italian Research, including how to read and locate both civil and  Parish records. Since her full time mission, she has continued to do online consultations in Italian Research for the FamilySearch Library in SLC.  She is currently volunteering 4 hours a week at the Mesa FamilySearch Center (Monday afternoons) and serves in her ward as a FH consultant.
