Have you heard about the BYU Linking Labs? Do you know how it is different from indexing? Have you been doing Indexing but need a change? Is Indexing too difficult or too boring? Ready for a different experience?  How is the Linking Lab valuable to others to find their ancestors? Which is better for your style of volunteering? Come and find out. In this class you will learn how to do Indexing and how to use the BYU Linking Lab so you can make an informed decision on which method you prefer.

Mary Hartmann-Bowden first became interested in Family History when she joined the Church in 1977. A mission and life prevented keeping up with the new interest until 2010 after attending a Family History Expo. In September of 2021 she became a volunteer at the Mesa Temple Visitor’s Center. And shortly thereafter she began to teach classes. Mary also serves as a Temple and Family History Consultant in her local church unit for the past year. Countries of research interest are England and Germany. Going to Genealogy conferences, online classes, and being a member of the local Family History organization has taught Mary many things and she is excited to share what she has leaned with others.
