Ever wonder how to get started in researching your ancestors?  This class will cover sources, memories, merging, and other useful search tools.  Come with questions!

Kathy Percy began her love of family history as a young child sitting at the feet of her paternal great-grandfather and listening to his stories.  Her grandmother gave her all the family history documentation she had for Kathy’s paternal grandparents when was 16 years old.  Kathy and her husband, Larry, joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1979.  They have been married since 1967 and have lived in Oregon, Idaho, and Colorado and finally moved to Arizona in 2006.  They served their mission at the Mesa FamilySearch Library beginning in 2011 where they served among some of the best people!  She loves family history research, especially now that so much can be done online!  Since 2012, Kathy had added over 96,000 sources, 1,300 memories and 10,000 new people to FamilySearch.   Besides family history research, Kathy enjoys camping in their popup tent trailer, reading, gardening, attending the temple, teaching, and traveling.  Their English Springer Spaniel, Duchess, has been their furry companion since 2008.  They are the parents of five children and grandparents of 17, and great-grandparents of 8.
