Learn how to index vital records so the records become searchable. The student will learn the importance of indexing, how to find Indexing Help, have an opportunity to index the 1950 US Census for as long as it is available or other records as a group. They will also learn how to use the new app Get Involved, and the new quick indexing features such as Name Review and Improve Place-Names.

Mary Hartmann-Bowden first became interested in Family History when she joined the Church in 1977. A mission and life prevented keeping up with the new interest until 2010 after attending a Family History Expo. In September of 2021 she became a volunteer at the Mesa Temple Visitor’s Center. And shortly thereafter she began to teach classes. Mary also serves as a Temple and Family History Consultant in her local church unit for the past year. Countries of research interest are England and Germany. Going to Genealogy conferences, online classes, and being a member of the local Family History organization has taught Mary many things and she is excited to share what she has leaned with others.
