This initial class, taught by Sister Koniuszy, will cover FamilySearch Account set-up, Partner accounts, selecting a personal data base, creating a GEDCOM, adding Chrome extensions, and gathering information from home.

JEANNE KONIUSZY lives in Mesa and has been interested and active in family history for over 40 years.  In April 2016 she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Family History from BYU.  She enjoys assisting others with their family history and loves teaching.  She has been serving as a Temple and Family History Consultant in her church organization for the past nine years.  In that capacity, she trains other consultants and teaches classes open to the public, covering basic research skills and navigation of FamilySearch and the major websites, Ancestry.com, MyHeritage, FindMyPast, AmericanAncestors, FindAGrave and The Family History Guide.  Her class curriculum also includes instruction on the use of RootsMagic8 as a personal database.  Jeanne served as a Service Missionary at the Mesa FamilySearch Library from May 2014 to September 2018. She and her husband are currently serving as full-time missionaries at the Mesa Temple Visitors’ Center for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
