Auditions set for 2024 Mesa Easter Pageant cast

Auditions for cast members in the Mesa Easter Pageant: Jesus the Christ for the 2024 Easter season are open now and being conducted online through Oct. 1.
The outdoor pageant runs March 20-23, 26-30, 2024 on the north lawn of the Mesa Arizona Temple, 101 S. LeSueur, and will include a cast of more than 400 actors and dancers.

Important info concerning auditions:
- All cast members must be available for rehearsals and performances from March 1st through March 30th. This includes Tuesday through Saturday evenings, some extended rehearsals during the day on Saturdays, and also additional Monday evening rehearsals on March 4th and possibly March 18th. Evening rehearsals will generally run 6-10 p.m. If you cannot commit to being available during this time for all rehearsals and performances (Including during the weeks of Spring Break), please do not submit an application.
- Membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is not required to participate in the Easter pageant. We welcome all who desire to testify with us of Jesus Christ. All pageant cast and crew will be asked to follow the standards of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at all pageant events. Additionally, an endorsement from a current ecclesiastical leader will be required. Pageant leadership will provide more information about this endorsement to all of those invited to participate in the pageant.
- You must be at least 17 years old to apply alone. If you are under the age of 17, but would like to audition, please audition as a part of your extended family, or with another adult who has agreed to you auditioning with them per the instructions above.
- Audition Video: Create a video (A video made with your phone is perfect!). First include a clear, verbal introduction of each person auditioning (include their name and age). After the introductions have been made, record a video (30 seconds or less per person) and answer the question: “Why do I/We want to participate in the Easter Pageant?” Feel free to express your family’s uniqueness in the video – have fun.
- Dancers wishing to audition for the pageant should submit a full application and complete the video/picture requirements listed above. You must also include an additional video showing 45-60 seconds of a lyrical dance. Angels will be selected from the dance audition videos as well as the individual/family videos.
